Team Hondadli bringing it in antigua for 2013

HONDADLI is the name given to this organization which was formed in February 2010, when a group of people interested in drag racing decided to formally come together as a non-profit social group. Their aim is to promote and develop motor sports and encourage community development. So, apart from drag racing and because you may not have heard, since inception, HONDADLI has made contributions to the Pares Health Clinic and to the Amazing Grace Foundation. In March 2013, HONDADLI also hosted a Rally against Crime and Violence in Antigua.

Since inception they have hosted two (2) drag racing events namely "Raising the standards" and "You Cyan Bang Me; Tap Behind Dey", in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Both events featured only local cars and drivers and drew an audience of at least 4000 patrons each. It is with these successes that HONDADLI has captured the attention of the regional community and hopes to include other islands in future events.

They also explored the option of hosting an event in Barbuda and on June 9, 2012, a contingent of people, cars, motorcycles, and quads travelled to Barbuda, our sister isle, for an event which was called "Park & Lyme". From all indications, this was the biggest event in Barbuda for 2012, leaving the attendees wanting more. As a result, it is hoped that "Park & Lyme" can be an annual event on Barbuda's entertainment calendar.

In an effort to promote regional integration in the area of motor sports, members of HONDADLI have travelled to St. Lucia in 2012 and 2013 to attend one of the region's largest drag-racing events. This was following the attendance of a team of motor-sport enthusiasts from St. Lucia at a drag-racing event in 2012 held in Antigua. Because of Antigua's influence in the area of drag racing, members of HONDADLI were constantly being asked, while in St. Lucia, why cars from Antigua were not being entered in the event. As a result, they are currently exploring the possibility of taking several cars to participate in the event in 2014.

Members of HONDADLI are not all spectators, some of them own and race cars. Here is an example of what they have to offer:
